Recently, the first set of 126kV Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) from Juhonkia Electric has successfully passed factory inspection, been packed and loaded, and officially shipped to the project site. The successful delivery of this first industrial order marks a crucial leap for the company’s 126kV GIS product, from prototype R&D and engineering verification to industrial implementation. Juhonkia has established a complete industrial capability system covering R&D and design, process finalization, mass manufacturing, quality control and project delivery.
The industrial rollout of this product complements the company’s high-voltage product portfolio and lays a solid foundation for bulk order acceptance. It substantially strengthens our industrial competitiveness in the medium and high-voltage transmission and distribution equipment market. This achievement underpins our capacity to undertake grid and new energy projects in batches and drive the iterative mass production of high-voltage power equipment. It stands as an iconic milestone in Juhonkia’s industrialization journey for high-end power transmission and transformation equipment.

The 126kV gas insulated switchgear (GIS) serves as the core high-voltage equipment for substations. Featuring compact structure, stable operation, strong environmental adaptability and easy operation & maintenance, it is widely adopted in new grid construction, grid renovation and supporting substations for new energy projects, and acts as an indispensable core facility for the development of the new power system.
Since the launch of this initiative, the company has targeted mass industrial production and coordinated cross-departmental efforts in line with replicable, scalable industrial manufacturing standards. The technical team completed product scheme design, simulation verification and drawing finalization, unlocking the transformation pathway from technical achievements to industrial products. The production team finalized production line processes and optimized tooling support to establish standardized assembly procedures. The quality inspection system formulated acceptance specifications for complete switchgear sets and carried out a full scope of factory tests including partial discharge, power frequency withstand voltage and mechanical characteristic tests, to verify product consistency and reliability.
Faced with technical bottlenecks and delivery pressure during the development of this first-of-its-kind industrial unit, the project team kept optimizing process routes and overcoming engineering challenges. The equipment successfully passed factory validation on schedule and achieved delivery of the first industrial order. Juhonkia honors its commitment to customers with reliable, high-quality products.

This shipment of the first industrial batch of 126kV GIS marks a brand-new starting point for the scaled development of the company’s high-voltage equipment business. Going forward, Juhonkia Electric will continue to focus on the high-voltage power transmission and distribution equipment industry, advancing technological innovation and industrial upgrading in parallel. We will keep iterating product processes, improving our high-voltage product portfolio, accelerating the capacity upgrade of the 126kV GIS production line, and building stable and controllable large-scale industrial manufacturing capabilities.
Leveraging the achievements of this industrialization project, the company will further strengthen supply chain coordination, production delivery and full-lifecycle service capabilities. We will supply complete high-voltage switchgear sets and integrated solutions for power grid and new energy sectors. With solid industrial strength in power equipment, we support the construction of the new power system and contribute to the high-quality development of power infrastructure industries both at home and abroad.
