Juhonkia’s 145kV GIS and 36kV Eco-Friendly Gas Insulated Switchgear Obtain TUV Rheinland AK Certification

On June 3, TUV Rheinland held an industry certification award ceremony. Wang Yuanbin, Deputy General Manager of our company, attended the event on behalf of the enterprise. Our self-developed 145kV GIS high-voltage combined electrical apparatus and 36kV eco-friendly gas insulated switchgear have passed rigorous tests and officially obtained the TUV Rheinland AK Certificate of Conformity. This milestone signifies that Juhonkia’s high-voltage switchgear products have fully aligned their technical standards with EU norms, clearing a critical entry barrier for accessing high-end markets across Europe and the globe.

At the certification awarding ceremony, senior experts from TUV Rheinland presented the certification certificates to Juhonkia on site, with representatives from both sides taking the stage to witness this milestone moment. As a world-leading third-party testing and certification body, TUV Rheinland’s AK conformity certification is formulated in accordance with EU safety standards for electrical equipment. It conducts comprehensive testing and verification covering insulation performance of products, reliability of eco-friendly media, mechanical service life, operating condition resistance, green and low-carbon indicators and more. Featuring rigorous certification procedures and high global recognition, this certification serves as an essential pass for electrical products to enter the European market.

The two certified products each boast distinctive technical highlights. The 36kV eco-friendly gas insulated switchgear adopts a new fully environment-friendly insulating gas to replace the traditional SF6 greenhouse gas. Catering to low-carbon demands for new power systems, photovoltaic energy storage and wind power supporting facilities, it aligns with the global power grid trend of carbon and fluorine reduction. The 145kV GIS high-voltage switchgear achieves technological breakthroughs in compact structural design, insulation stability and adaptability to extreme environments, and can be widely applied in new energy booster stations, urban power grid renovation and overseas power transmission and distribution projects.

After years of standardized R&D deployment, Juhonkia has completed TUV Rheinland type certification for its 12kV, 24kV and 40.5kV medium-voltage switchgear, securing international compliance for medium-voltage products. The acquisition of AK certification for the new high-voltage products marks Juhonkia’s successful strategic upgrade from medium-voltage power distribution to high-voltage main grid and high-end green equipment, forming a full-scenario, eco-friendly product portfolio covering both medium and high voltage ranges. Moving forward, Juhonkia will further deepen technical collaboration with international bodies including TUV Rheinland, drive product iteration in line with global standards, and adhere to R&D priorities of green development and intelligent upgrading.
