Intelligent Manufacturing Empowers UHV Power Grids, Safeguarding Vital Power Transmission Corridors.
On August 12, 2026, the 35kV gas-insulated high-voltage switchgear independently developed and manufactured by Zhejiang Juhonkia Intelligent Electric Co., Ltd. (“Juhonkia”) smoothly passed system joint commissioning and live-line testing, and was officially put into commercial operation at the Datong–Tianjin South 1000kV Substation. This facility serves as a core hub of the Datong–Tianjin South 1000kV UHV AC Transmission Project, a key infrastructure initiative of State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC).

The milestone marks Juhonkia’s high-end intelligent power distribution equipment officially joining the primary supplier system for China’s national UHV backbone power grid. It demonstrates the robust capabilities of a domestic enterprise in the localization, intelligent upgrading and low-carbon development of critical power equipment.
Adopting fully sealed gas-insulated technology, the switchgear integrates high-precision digital sensors, edge computing modules and IEC 61850 intelligent communication interfaces. It features three core strengths: full-condition status monitoring, automatic fault diagnosis and coordinated remote operation & maintenance. Boasting a compact layout that cuts land occupation by 35%, the equipment operates reliably within an ambient temperature range of -40℃ to +55℃, fully meeting stringent requirements of UHV substations for superior reliability, high protection class and efficient maintenance.

Following delivery, the equipment underwent a 72-hour continuous live trial run, three extreme load surge tests and special acceptance inspection organized by SGCC North China Branch. All performance indicators achieved full compliance, earning high recognition from the joint expert panel of SGCC Shanxi Electric Power Company and China Electric Power Research Institute (CEPRI).
